Nyima first cut her teeth as a filmmaker working for Open City, the charity behind Open House Festival, where she worked as a curator, establishing and developing their documentary film programme.

Working with a range of filmmakers alongside creating films in house, Nyima worked on 62 short films between 2020 - 2021.
